So, I just saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and...was I the only one that was pretty disappointed with it?

Being that I just re-read the book I had it fresh in my mind how I imagined some things to happen.

-I feel like this is one Harry Potter movie that the creators or whatever ASSUMED you all already read the books because a lot of things don't really go into detail. Like here's a simple one Lavender Brown, is her full name said even once? They just automatically assume you know who she is. Fenrir Greyback, again he's there but not mentioned or anything, audiences that follow the HP movie series but don't read the books don't even know he's a werewolf let alone THE WEREWOLF. Also it's never mentioned that Harry is now Qudditch captain, it's just assumed you know that already. And you never find out that lady from the Three Broomsticks was bewitched to give Katie the necklace and (I think) poison the mead.

-The bezoar, um, shouldn't it have been mentioned that he read that in the potion book? Harry's not Hermione, he doesn't know these things automatically.

-They added in the bridge scene which I liked a lot because they mention it in the books but then they leave out the whole Ministry plot line with the new Minister and how he meets with the Prime Minister and Rufus with Harry "Dumbledore's Man through and through" etc.

-TOO ROMANTIC! I mean I understand Ron/Lavender/Hermione and even, to an extent Harry/Ginny (even though I really dislike them together) but it seemed like that was the main part of the movie. And please the whole Harry/Ginny thing in the movie with her tying his shoes and feeding him food was RIDIC. First of all it's called HP and the Half-Blood Prince and in the book Hermione, Ron, and Harry kind of search for who this dude is when in the movie it's just Snape at the end basically saying "BTW, it's me." Not enough action either. Like isn't there a bit fighting between the Death Eaters and the students? Not just them watch Dumbledore die. AND..

-ONE OF THE MOST ANNOYING PARTS. Harry just standing there watching Dumbledore die. THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Harry is known for jumping headfirst into things without even thinking of his actions. He's kind of fearless. He would NEVER stand there and watch Dumbledore get killed!!

-Even little things like Dumbledore's hand annoyed me. It's supposed to be shriveled up man! And since when are inferi gollum-look alikes?

-The Burrow burning??? Just pissed me off.

-The Gaunt family memory was left out, but that I kind of understand because that's kind of going really in depth into Voldemort's life and it wasn't as neccessary to show as the two they did.

-I really wanted Moaning Myrtle in the bathroom scene...

-No Dumbledore's funeral??? Seriously???

-WHAT THE HELL WAS UP WITH THOSE TWO TWINS?!?! So annoying!

Though I did like some of it, I didn't completely hate it, hahaha.

-Fred and George's joke show was portrayed wonderfully. I wish there was more of it...but you know. They didn't ruin their scene like they did in Order (FIREWORKS!?!?! REALLY!?!?!) I'm a huge Fred and George fan so yeah, this scene I give the thumbs up, though they weren't wearing purple suits...but that's okay.

-I really did like the new characters: Lavender and Cormac. Lavender was even funnier in the movie then the book I think. And Cormac was great...and kind of hot.

-The "dark side" was awesome in this. Bellatrix was awesome. MALFOY! WOW. Tom Felton was really awesome in this movie. He portrayed how stressed and torn Malfoy is incredibly. I couldn't have asked for it any better. On the train too! With him and Harry under the cloak! Awesome!

-The comedy in this was great. Like when Harry on Felix was hilarious. The whole scene in Hagrid's hut!?!? I loved it!

-Ron seriously always gets me. He is great. Every part he was in. The whole scene with the love potion/poisoning too by the way was done really well.

-Also aside from the parts they left out a lot of the dialogue seemed word for word from book to movie for me. Like the memories and the love potion scene between Ron and Harry. And the Unbreakable Vow scene. A lot of it was and that was really awesome.

So yeah, not my favorite movie. I guess it was too much hype? I guess maybe I shouldn't have reread the book before because every little thing annoyed me hahaha. It wasn't bad though! I mean it's like every other HP movie. They leave out some stuff and add in unneccessary stuff (burning the you know, I mentioned it above). Whatevz.
